Wedding at Hostal La Gavina, Costa Brava

Discover the stunning images from Vanessa and Chris’s wedding, held on the beautiful Costa Brava at the iconic Hostal de la Gavina. With breathtaking Mediterranean sea views, this outdoor wedding was a true dream. From the ceremony to dinner, everything unfolded surrounded by lush nature and the magnificent Mediterranean coastline.

Vanessa and Chris, originally from Frankfurt, Germany, chose the Costa Brava as the perfect setting for their big day, celebrating alongside their closest family and friends in a dreamlike atmosphere.

Despite unexpected rain toward the end of dinner, the evening turned into something unforgettable thanks to the umbrellas we handed out to every guest, paired with the song “It’s Raining Men.” The rain didn’t stop the fun, and guests kept dancing until the very end of the night. Among the wedding’s personal touches were temporary tattoos featuring images meaningful to the couple, from their dog to the wedding’s location and date. A cigar corner, a firm favourite with guests, added an extra layer of elegance to the celebration.

Hostal de la Gavina, the first great hotel of the Costa Brava

Opened in 1932 in the Plaza del Roserar in S’Agaró, Hostal de la Gavina was designed by architect Rafael Masó and developed by the Ensesa family as one of the first villas in the resort. Over time it became the Costa Brava’s first luxury hotel, with privileged views over the Bay of Sant Pol, and has welcomed guests including Salvador Dalí and Spain’s own royal family.

Its private seafront gardens and nearby chapel offer a fairy-tale backdrop for civil and religious ceremonies, in a setting where the Costa Brava’s classic elegance can be felt in every corner.
